Email, Google, or a linked browser wallet. Embedded EOAs, not a custodial Flips account.

Flips uses **Privy**. Email or Google creates an embedded Ethereum wallet on login. That address is the one Pulse, Deposit, and the trade ticket use unless you change the primary.

## Methods

- **Email** — one-time code. No password to store on Flips.
- **Google** — same embedded wallet path.
- **Browser wallet** — optional. Link it under Settings → Session. You still sign in the wallet UI.

## What you get

- An EOA on Robinhood Chain you control.
- A trading roster on [Wallets](/docs/wallets) — create, switch, archive.
- No Flips-held balances. If the site is down, the chain still has your tokens.

## What you do not get

- A seed phrase screen on first login. Recovery is through Privy, not a Flips PDF.
- Session keys, paymasters, or 1-click sends.
- A custodial "Flips balance" separate from the chain.

## SIWE

Some social features (theses, profile) write your address into an httpOnly cookie via **Sign-In with Ethereum**. That cookie is not the trading key. Disconnecting Privy logs the browser out; device prefs (theme, presets) stay until you reset them.

## Multiple devices

Embedded wallets follow the Privy account, not the laptop. A linked browser wallet only exists on browsers where you connected it.
